Admittedly not greatest year for Performance Gap Analysis, but one of our better angles covering several decades still favors Oakland. Teams with a winning percentage .510-.590 to winning percentage of .200 or less is 30-65-4.
Versus Arizona, KC allowed five passes of 20 or more yards in Arizona, their highest total of the season, so their overachieving defense is regressing to the mean.
Spoilers against teams that need the win more are great bets in the postseason. Of course the Chiefs have lost three straight. If they won when they needed to, they would not be in position to being desperate for a win.
Teams laying 9.5 or more with three-game or more losing streak are 7-21 against the spread including just 1-4 if opponent off straight up win. Yes we know the Raiders came out flat off their first win, but they did not celebrate as absurdly last week. And remember when they avoided the winless season that set up more of a letdown game. Oakland keeps it close.
