WVU vs. Kansas
PLAY ON: Kansas +7
It's tough to play on a bad team like Kansas when they are getting less than double digits. But they have shown modest improvement in the second year of Charlie Weiss. While the offense has struggled, the defense has been respectable, especially against the pass, giving up 6.8 ypa. This is more of a play against WVU than on Kansas. The Mountaineers are coming off a tough home OT loss to Texas last week, so they will surely have left some on the field. They give a lot of big plays in the passing game at 7.9 ypa. Even though the Jayhawks don't hit many of them, they should be able to keep this game close. Take the home dog in Kansas.

Detroit vs. Pittsburgh
PLAY ON: Pittsburgh +2
Detroit comes in as a non conference road favorite coming off a division road win at Chicago last weekend. This makes for a nice play on the home dog, Pittsburgh. It isn't often the Steelers are a home dog. The Lions give up a decent amount of yards, but manage to get off the field on 3rd down. It is tough to do that game in and game out. This is one of those spots where that could catch up with them. The Steelers salvaged their season last week, and will look to ground and pound the Lion defense to keep their high powered offense on the sidelines. Take the Steelers at home this week.
