    Oklahoma vs TCU
    Play on: TCU + 6.5

The Sooners go on the road after a big comeback win against archrival Oklahoma St in OT last weekend. TCU comes off a big rivalry win over Texas, but have a few extra days to prepare since they played on Thanksgiving. We can see the Sooners a bit flat in this one, at least to start the game. So there is an opportunity for the Horned Frogs to get off to a good start. The Oklahoma offense has been very good this season, averaging 5.0 YPC, 8.0 YPA, and converting 52% on 3rd down. But their rush defense has been a bit suspect, especially over the past few games, giving up 5.0 YPC which has led to an unimpressive 3rd down stop ratio of 46%. TCU has been solid defensively all season giving up only 3.0 YPC and 29% on 3rd down. They may not be great at converting 3rd downs at 34%, but we believe they will convert enough against the suspect defense of Oklahoma, coupled with the Sooners tendency to turn the ball over, to stay within a TD.

    NY Giants vs Washington
    Play on: Washington +2

A couple of questions to be answered in this game:

    1. Are the Redskins for real?
    2. Can the Giants play two good games back to back?

The way the season started, you would think the Giants had the better defense. But you would be thinking incorrectly. It is the Redskins with the better defense, with the exception of 3rd down, mainly because of the improvement of the offense. While both teams have been pretty good on offense, neither is very good converting 3rd down, with Washington at a meager 32%. Part of it is that both of these teams hit a lot of big plays, so they don't face as many 3rd downs on longer drives. Over the past 3 games, RG3 has the Redskin passing game hitting on all cylinders, where Eli and the Giants passing game has struggled a bit, not withstanding last weeks game against Green Bay. We will take the Redskins in the best play in the NFL, the division home dog.
