The Spartans do have a significant statistical edge on 3rd down, by 10% on both sides in fact. What we like about San Antonio is a home dog getting double digits with the better running game:
offense: 4.7 YPC vs 2.9 YPC
defense: 3.2 YPC vs 3.9 YPC
We think San Antonio can shorten the game enough and get the cover.

Jacksonville is coming off a bye, but they are travelling across country this week. Neither team is very good, particularly at defending the pass , both at 7.3 YPA, or at stopping teams on 3rd down, both over 43% with Oakland coming in at 49%. For that matter, neither team is very good at converting 3rd downs, both under 31%. But we will fade Jacksonville because they are turnover prone and pass the ball at an anemic 4.9 YPA. We will gladly go against any team that cannot pass the ball, in a passing league.
