    Week 6 Recap

Another good week for us going 5-2, bringing out total units won up to 12.4 for the season. Statistically, we are 61% in NCAAF, 67% in NFL, and 71% on our best bets.

South Carolina, coming off its impressive win over Georgia last week, now becomes the hunter instead of the huntee and no longer will be sneaking up on people. Either the ACC is really bad, or David Cutcliffe is a genius at Duke, having the Blue Devils at 5-1. It must be bad since Boston College lost to Army. West Virgina is the Big 12's best chance at going undefeated. All of their tough games are at home, with Kansas St and Oklahoma traveling to Morgantown. Speaking of Kansas St, it may be time to start taking them seriously. They are where South Carolina was a few weeks ago. Florida St fans must feel like Charlie Brown: Everytime they think they are going to kick that football and get over the hump; poof, flat on their backs again. Kudos to the job Bill O'brien is doing at Penn St. After a rough start, he has that team playing pretty good football. If they can get to 9 wins, he should garner some coach of the year consideration. Upcoming this week:

Red River Rivalry - The loser has no chance at playing for the BCS Championship. The Texas Defense is not playing up to standards and the Sooners have looked lethargic at times this season.
Alabama travels to Missouri as the clear-cut #1 team in the nation. It seems like only a few weeks ago there were 8-10 teams vying for that top spot.
Stanford vs Notre Dame - The Irish are still floating under the radar, but they have an opportunity to get on the radar here.
South Carolina vs LSU - The Gamecocks now get to show what they are made of. Coming of the big win, they go to LSU and Florida in consecutive weeks. Meanwhile, the Tigers need to get the OL in order or else it will get pushed around by the stout DL of South Carolina, and be looking at a lost season.
It is amazing what good QB play and leadership can do for an NFL team, in terms of inspiring an inferior offense and defense. The Colts are clearly not as good as Green Bay, but Andrew Luck almost "willed" that team to a comeback win. Meanwhile, Cam Newton is the complete opposite. Once that team gets down, they stay down. I think we can put San Francisco at the top of the NFC, even though they have a loss. On the other side of the coin, even the "tarp" that represent Jaguar fans can bear to watch that team. If the Chief fans think Matt Cassel is bad, wait till they see Brady Quinn play. I'll bet most of you didn't even know he was still in the league. The Packer defense better start picking it up, or they will find themselves in an uphill battle with the Vikings and Bears, who are playing defense. Finally, I don't know which is worse: the Titans offense or the Bills defense.
