Had a nice 2-1 day yesterday. Covered with the Bulls (+11) and Golden State (+2), and lost with Louisiana Tech (+7.5). Our overall run has been excellent this year:

OVERALL 54-37 (59%) +13.3 units (based on 1 unit plays)

We keep record of every game (win or loss) on our website. On to today's play, our only play of the day. Somewhat of a limited slate tonight, and there were no other games that made the cut besides this one:

NCAAB <<<< UNLV (-12 to -13) hosting Northern Arizona >>>>

UNLV is off to a strong 5-2 start in this early season. They returned three starters from last year's 21-11 team: F J.K. Edwards (12 PPG this year), G Demetrius Hunter (10.1 PPG this year), and F James Peters (3.8 PPG this year). In addition to a solid core, UNLV has added an excellent recruiting class. Marquette transfer Odartey Blankson leads the team in scoring (18 PPG) and rebounds (9.7), and 6'7" wingman Romel Beck (a recruit from the Los Angeles City College team that won the Cal Juco championship) is second on the team in scoring with 13.1 PPG. This excellent recruiting class (including Jerel Blassingame and the redshirted Louis Amundson) has eased the transition for the Rebels when they lost the heart of the team....Marcus Banks (20.3 PPG), Darion Johnson (15.5 PPG), and Jermaine Lewis (9.5 PPG). They have now established their own identity.

The Rebs have impressive wins this year at home versus California (59-57), and on the road at USC (92-83). They recently had their 4-game winning streak snapped when they squared off against a rough Stanford team in Stanford's house. Besides that, and a loss versus a solid Nevada squad, UNLV has shown they will be a surprise this year.

Northern Arizona will not be able to make tonight's game close. They have struggled on the road, losing by an average of 16.4 points. They are 0-5 SU on the road, and 1-3 ATS. Although they have a budding superstar in Kelly Golob, and a strong frontline...their guard play is very suspect.

UNLV should cover tonight....give the points to the Lumberjacks (terrible nickname).

    Good luck.
