    WASHINGTON +8’ Memphis

It’s a very tough task for Memphis as in the NBA and NHL we have found teams returning home from long road trips so often face letdowns in their first game back especially against inferior teams. With so many points to work with, we love for the Wizzlets to stay well within the number here.

Memphis has to be a bit weary after playing six of their previous seven on the road. Memphis is not exactly a defensive juggernaut. They are allowing teams to score 3.6 ppg more than their mean number for the year.

In fact, only a .500 SU team at home they have just a +2 ppg scoring advantage in Memphis.

Well surely the trade of acquiring Bonzi Wells would have to at least take a little focus off of this game. Wells may respond to the new scenery, but getting a notorious trouble-maker in the midst of playing well won’t pay short-term dividends.

Also improved Jason Williams is doubtful for Memphis. Key backup Etan Thomas will be back for the Wizards.

How seriously will the Wizards take tonight? Guard Chris Whitney called it a “must win” game. “We can’t get used to losing,” Whitney said. “When people get used to losing, they go into games thinking selfishly. I don’t think we have that make up in this locker room.”

    Washington keeps it close.

Don’t forget our three-day pass for $45 or our four-day package at a huge discount of $55. Also remember when away from your computer get our free picks on a recorded message: 866-FREE-866, extension #61!
