The red-hot Los Angeles Lakers and Kobe Bryant look to add to their NBA-best record with an eighth straight victory tonight at Staples Center against Dwyane Wade and the Heat who have lost seven of their last 11 games. Los Angeles got out to a 20-point halftime lead over New Orleans on Tuesday en route to a 110-99 win as they are now fully healthy with Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom back in the lineup for six of those wins. Tonight they face a Heat team playing back-to-back games and their third game in four days.Miami began its four-game Western road trip beating Portland 107-100, but got crushed by Denver last night. The Nuggets opened a 16-point halftime lead and didn't look back in a 114-96 victory. Kobe Bryant is shooting a season-best 48.9 percent and has increased his scoring average two points from last season and is second in the league in scoring with 28.8 points a game while Dwayne wade, the NBA's reigning scoring champion from last year is shooting a career-low 42.7 percent. Wades average has dropped 3.5 points from his career-high 30.2 last season and he's averaging 23.8 points on 40.2 percent from the field in his last nine games. Wade and this Miami Heat team are wearing down on this Western Conference road trip as they showed last night in Denver. Playing the Lakers on a back to back and 3 games in 4 night's will spell another blowout loss for the Heat. The Heat will face the same matchup problems again tonight as they did last night against Denver. They just don't have the big men to rebound and compete with these elite teams as witnessed when Clinton Richardson had to guard Carmelo Anthony last night in Denver. It will be bigger problems for the Heat tonight as the question is who will guard Paul Gasol, Lamar Odom, Andrew Bynum and Kobe Bryant. The answer is they have no one.
