Detroit Pistons at Sacramento Kings 10:05 pm EST

    Under 195.5 Detroit/Sacramento (3 Units)

The Pistons head to Sacramento for the start of their 4-game road trip as they trail the Pacers by ½ game in the Central Division. They have been doing it once again with tough defense which has given them the ability to control the tempo of their games. Even though they have gone over this year in 4 of their 6 games, one of those being a push, this total is set too high even though it is in Sacramento. The 4 games that have gone over for the Pistons, the average score has been 186 points while the average over/under has been 176. Dating back to last season, Detroit has played 105 games including playoffs and only 17 of those games have seen more than 195 points put up (88-17 83.8% under that number including 5-1 this season). Last season, the two meetings both stayed under, averaging 171.5 ppg. The Kings have played decent defense in their 2 home games this season, allowing 92 and 89 points in their lone home contests.

Detroit is allowing only 87.7 ppg this season on 42% shooting which is good for 12th in the league. Their offense is only shooting 42.4% from the floor so even though the Kings are 2nd to last in opposing FG%, Detroit may not be able to take advantage. The Kings are shooting just over 40% from behind the 3-point line but Detroit is allowing only 27.9% from there. The Pistons have a big edge on the glass as they have yet to be outrebounded this season while Sacramento has been rebounded in all but one of their games. By controlling the boards, Detroit will once again be able to control the tempo of this game.
