The way the Gophers annually romp on the have-nots has me definately leaning toward them this Saturday. Against Division 1 opposition, Illinois is averaging only 14.2 ppg, and now they will be missing their top QB and RB. All indications point toward redshirt frosh Chris Pazan starting this weekend, and while I profess knowing little about Pazan, I have to believe he is a step down from Beutjer, a talented passer. While Minnie will probably be down in the dumps, Illinois is the perfect team for them to face this week. Illinois is allowing 43.3 ppg their last 5 outings, and hav put up little resistance in any of the games. They have lost their Big 10 games by an average score of 46.5-14.5! On top of all this, the Gophers are a surprising 7-2 ATS as an away fav! This one can be summed up easily. Minnesota will score big, and playing against a team that has really struggled to score this year who are missing two key starters, the Illini won't be able to keep pace.
