1:30 Virginia -8 over North Carolina
Who could forget that classic Virginia/North Carolina game on 10/22/02. Carolina went into halftime with a dominating 21-0 lead against Al Groh's Cavilers. Virginia then outscored the Tar Heels 37-6 in the second half en route to a 37-27 Win/Cover. Well Virginia has 17 total starters returning from a season ago and we expect to see more of that second half dominance. Virginia has always dominated the Tar Heels. Virginia is a solid 7-4 SU & 8-3 ATS in their last 11 meetings dating back to 1997. Virginia is 2-0 SU in ACC conference play this season and need to take care of business against the soft North Carolina team. The Tar Heels have allowed 37 or more points in every game thus far this season. Virginia should have no problem moving the ball and covering the 8 point spread.

3:00 La Tech+8 over Boise St.
Before you run and lay the 8 points with Boise St. in this game, take a few thing into consideration. Boise St. is returning just 3 starters on offensive from a year ago 7 have not played a team with an athletic defense that La. Tech posses. Tech has played in some tough football games against some tough teams. Two weeks ago they played in Michigan St. and almost walked away with a win, losing that game 20-19 but grabbing the cash as a 12 point underdog. Last week there defense played tough holding Fresno St. to just 16 points in Fresno. Today is home coming and they should be ready to play this ball game to there best. We expect this game to be closer then what the odds makers have set it at. We like our chances with La. Tech @ home in this spot.

4:05 Oakland+160 (Lilly) over Boston (Lowe)
The Red Sox have lost a combined for 69 losses this season (regular season & playoff's). Of those 69 losses 30 of them have come against left handed starters. Boston is just 25-30 against southpaws this season. Boston's big lineup seems to quite down against the lefties. In Game 2 of this series Oakland starter Barry Zito kept Red Sox batters puzzled and off the scoreboard for the most part. Oakland will try and make it a clean sweep in this series with another Lefty Starter in Big Ted Lilly. Lilly finished off the regular season strong gong 2-1 with a 3.00 ERA. The Sox have not looked the same in the post season. In Game 1 always reliable Pedro Martinez was knocked around and they eventually lost that game on a bunt with the bases loaded. In Game 2 Barry Zito held them to just 1 run. One run will not win Boston to many games. Oakland knows the best thing they can do is end it now and avoid another match up with Pedro Martinez. We feel confident that the A's can & will close out this series against the Red Sox. If they do end it tonight it would be at a nice price as well.
