(Williams/Miller) Good spot here for Houston as their 42-29 at home and 28-19 in game 1's this year. The Cards are 33-40 on the road and 20-27 in game 1's. At first glance it would appear that the Cards would have a big pitching advantage in this game because Williams is 3-0 1.42 against Houston this year, but we look at the fact he's 4-5 4.85 era on the road and 1-2 10.64 era in his last 3 outings. The guy has looked tired in his last few outings and his ball has been flat, and he's backed up by a horrible bullpen(5.25 road era this year). I like the combination of Miller and a great Astros bullpen, especially at home. Miller is 6-3 3.65 at home this year, he's 6-3 3.29 in his career against St. Louis, and 1-0 2.57 against them this year. Plus he's pitched well in this pennent race going 2-1 2.00 era in his last 3! The Astros bullpen has been awesome all year and their expected to get Dotel back tonight, not that they needed him lately as their pen era is 1.50 in their last 10 games. Houston's in a good spot to take game 1 in this very important series.
