Seattle Seahawks vs. Arizona Cardinals

Having closely reviewed both of these Week #1 teams’ games we really come away with a really good impression of the Seahawks chances in this week’s match up. While they didn’t go out and necessarily dominate the Bucs, they did manage the game quite well, which is usually the difference especially in divisional match ups. Their play was intelligent and efficient as Matt Hasselback came away completing 70% of his passes and Alexander collected 105 rushing yards. Most importantly the Seahawks were absolutely punishing on defence.
The Cardinals opened up the season with the fewest passing yards of any team last week and Matt Lienart threw two interceptions as well. Things will not be any easier this week as in the words of Julian Peterson “this Seattle defense is different. We're coming to hit. We're coming to hurt. We want to get that reputation around the rest of the league, because that will help our offense” Unless James can establish himself early Leinhart will have a hard time in pocket all day long will lead to more turnovers this week.
The Cardinals are 3-16 SU (last 19) and 2-10 (last 12) ATS in home openers and 19-81 ATS when they lose SU. With the Seahawks having won 7 of the past 9 meetings look for the veteran leadership of the Seahawks to find a way to control this game and get a win in Arizona as a small favorite.
