At first glance, one would have to wonder!!! Why the Reds?? Cincinnati only scored 6 runs in 2 losses of a double header on Tuesday!!! We will use the same principles as above. Pittsburgh had two decent Leftys that started yesterday!! Gorzellany(Lefty) and Maholm(Lefty). Cincinnati is hitting .292 against leftys(last 5), but are only scoring 4 runs a game aginst them. Throw a Righy at them and you have a whole different outcome!!! The Reds are hitting .378 and scoring 9.64 runs a game their last 5 games against right handed starters. Aaron Harang gets the start tonight against the Pirates. The Reds have Won 13 of Harangs last 14 Starts!!! That is correct...13 of 14 times Harang has started, the Reds have Won the Game!!!
After losing 7 straight games that Ian Snell Started, The Pirates won his last 2 starts. Unfortunately for him he has to face a Reds team that hit .435 against him the last time he faced them, allowing the Reds to score 6 runs in 5 innings of work. Earlier in the Month the Pirates were swinging hot bats, but they have since cooled off. The Pirates are hitting .275 against rightys, but are only scoring 4 runs a game against them!!
Look for Cincinnati to come back strong and make it 5 straight games they have won that Harang has started and 14 of his last 15.
Take Cincinnati -110 for 3-Units.
