Today we like West Virginia -9 against East Carolina. The Pirates looked dismal against the Bearcat defense last week, getting only 3 points and showing no signs of offensive life. West Viriginia's rush defense was ranked #2 in the country last season and East Carolina does not have much of a pass attack. After the run is shut down, so will the Pirates be. West Virginia took care of these Pirates 37-17 last year and they will be a tad upset with letting a 17-7 lead slip away against Wisconsin last week. One of the most outstanding trends for this game is the fact that ECU is 0-7 against the spread at home, when revenging a loss of 14 or more points. This definitely falls into that category, and with the Pirates still unsure who will even start at quarterback, we see the West Virginia cruising to a nice victory.
