Milwaukee Bucks at Charlotte Bobcats 7:00 PM ET

    Charlotte Bobcats -5 -105

Charlotte is quietly having a very good season for its standards and a record-setting one for that matter. The Bobcats broke their franchise record for victories Wednesday against Atlanta as they grabbed their 27th on the season. This is obviously a very young team but one that is playing out the season and going through the motions like most non-playoff teams at this point. More records could happen however as the Bobcats are four wins away from tying the NBA record for wins by a third-year team. They will no doubt be striving for that.

Milwaukee is in shambles as injuries have hurt this team all season long. The Bucks have lost four straight and in 2007, they have an abysmal record of 9-30 with only two of those wins coming on the road. One of those victories came against Charlotte as did another victory at home, so the Bobcats are playing for double revenge and are in a great spot to take advantage of it. The latest casualties are Charlie Villanueva and Andrew Bogut, both out for the season. The last Milwaukee victory was against the Bobcats five games backs with Bogut scoring 17 and grabbing 11 boards.

The return of Emeka Okafor for the Bobcats was pretty non-eventful as he came off the bench to toss in nine points in 26 minutes. It was his first game back after a 15-game layoff so his minutes were cut but expect those to go up tonight. Even though he was held in check offensively, his defense was in peak form. With him in the lineup, it was no coincidence the Bobcats held the Hawks to 40 percent shooting and under 90 points, just like it was no coincidence that with Okafor out, they frequently allowed 50 percent-plus shooting and 110 points.

The Bobcats have lost all nine meetings against Milwaukee so it isn’t only revenge times two but revenge nine times over. Milwaukee has never been as vulnerable as this however and Charlotte has been a great team this season in avenging losses. The Bobcats are 20-8 ATS when revenging a same season loss and that says a lot for head coach Bernie Bickerstaff, despite knowing he won’t return after the end of the year. It’s public knowledge that the Bobcats continue to play hard for Bickerstaff and will continue to do so here with another easy win. Play Charlotte Bobcats 1 Unit
