RED ZONE SPORTS© sees this game as a no brainer, and here's why. The lowly Buccos are last in the NL Central, 17.5 games out of the division leading spot. After a midweek win, that ended a seven game losing streak, they immediately began another. Pirates are 26-47, and 8-27 on the road. The Dodgers on the other hand are only 2 games of of first in the NL West Division, and have been playing .500 baseball of late.
The Pirates will send out second year pitcher, Zack Duke who was a real surprise last year, but has been hit the sophomore jinx, and is 5-6 with a 4.66 ERA in 15 starts, and has been whacked at a .288 batting clip. Dodger righthander Aaron Sele, recently acquired from the Seattle Mariners, is 3-0 in his only three starts with a 2.66 ERA, and has gone into the seventh inning in each outing. Duke is 1-4 away from the friendly confines of Heinz Field, and LA is 20-16 when playing at home. Take the Dodgers to win this encounter. LA!!!
