  • Bodog Offers Bettors a Stake in Super Bowl XL with Many Wagering Options

After announcing earlier this week that its sportsbook had realized an 80 percent growth rate for the year, online gaming giant Bodog has posted its odds for Super Bowl XL. As the favored Pittsburgh Steelers gear up to face the Seattle Seahawks on Super Bowl Sunday, Bodog has seen a record amount of betting on its sports proposition wagers.

"Bettors looking to cash in on their NFL betting intuition have only a few days left to bet on the outcome of Sunday's Super Bowl," says Calvin Ayre, Founder and CEO of Costa Rica-based Bodog. "To round out the betting experience for our players, Bodog has been offering a wide variety of quality and unique proposition wagers for the Super Bowl."

In addition to the standard wager types for the Super Bowl, such as the Point Spread, Total and Moneyline, Bodog players are offered a choice of unique sports proposition wagers. These types of bets allow Bodog players a range of options, such as: wagering on the coin toss before the game; predicting the Nielson television ratings for the game; and betting on whether basketball star Kobe Bryant will land more points in his NBA game on Saturday, February 4 than the total combined points for both teams in the Super Bowl.

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Seattle Seahawks aren't the only ones meticulously preparing for Sunday's Super Bowl in Detroit. Millions of sports bettors are scouring the Internet, reading sports sections and monitoring their favorite sports news programs to ensure that their money goes on the correct wager.

For Super Bowl XL, the Steelers, who were the last team to clinch a playoff spot, are currently 4.5-point favorites. With both teams displaying solid offensive and defensive rosters, and strong coaching staffs, a competitive game can be expected.
