  • Highest Paid Male Actors

Forbes releases first international list of top-paid male actors
Forbes’ list includes actors working outside Hollywood, allowing an international comparison of star earnings for the first time.

My Kudos on each actor in Parenthesis

    1. Robert Downey Jr., $80 million (Side note this guy has been an addict since the age of 8. Been caught wandering the streets naked doped up numerous times. Makes you wonder why so many people get so many chances yet they keep fucking it up, but only to come out smelling like roses while others get 1 fucking chance. Don't get me wrong he's a damn good actor, but shit you're one lucky SOB! And now I believe his son who helped him finally get clean is hooked on drugs)

    2. Jackie Chan, China, $50 million (Kinda of surprised as I didn't realize he was acting much any more as it must be in China. Good for him!)

    3. Vin Diesel, $47 million (What surprises me most about Vin Diesel is that he hasn't really did that many movies, but the one's he's did have been big hit sequels which has led to him being worth hundreds of millions)

    4. Bradley Cooper, $41.5 million (You know I really didn't like him at first, but he seems to be a decent guy and now I like him. However, I really don't think he's great looking. I would say slightly above average)

    5. Adam Sandler, $41 million (I've always liked him ever since I first watched him as a teenager on Saturday Night Live! I wish this man would hire me as I have some good movie ideas!)

    6. Tom Cruise, $40 million (No surprise here! He's been the man for decades now and will continue to be huge, however his antics of pushing Scientology on people etc, are just plan wrong. Not only that, but when he married Katie Holmes it broke my heart! Had a crush on her for a long time. Ok, I still do to this day!)

    7. Amitabh Bachchan, $33.5 million (No, idea who this actor is or what movies he's been in)

    8. Salman Khan, $33.5 million (Same as number 7)

    9. Akshay Kumar, $32.5 million (Same as number 7 and 8)

    10. Mark Wahlberg, $32 million (Marky Mark! Talk about a guy with a lot of chances he was arrested by the time he was 19 around 18-21 times. Even had manslaughter charges brought against him to be dropped. He comes from a big Catholic family that seems to be close knit so there must have been a lot of praying being done! Someone brought the script "The Fighter" to I believe his brother Donny Wahlberg which ended up in Mark's hands and the rest is history. Hey Mark and Donnie I have a bigger script than "The Fighter" and that's a FACT! contact me [email protected] like they will see this or contact me.)

Robert Downey Jr., for the third year in a row, is the world’s highest-paid actor ($80 million), but that’s not the real news in Forbes’ annual list of leading men with enviable bank balances.
What’s different this year is that for the first time three multimillionaire Indian actors little known among American movie audiences are included in an international top 10.
And Jackie Chan of China ($50 million) is No. 2.
It’s yet another sign of the growing globalization of ... well, everything, but especially the film business. In an increasingly internationalized industry, China and India can be players, each with more than 1 billion people, many of them mad for movies made in their own countries.
Thus, Bollywood superstars Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar are No. 7, No. 8 and No. 9 in the top 10 this year.
They rank ahead of Mark Wahlberg at No. 10 ($32 million), Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson at No. 11 ($31.5 million) and Johnny Depp at No. 12 ($30 million), for instance.
“I am surprised it has taken so long” to get global rankings, said Bollywood publicist Raju Kariya, who has worked in the industry for more than 30 years. India’s male actors, easily recognizable by their aviator sunglasses and tight designer clothes, are so popular that “everyone from 5-year-olds to elderly aunties are completely gaga over them.”
Khan’s place also demonstrated that Bollywood stars can get through scandal relatively unscathed. The action hero is the subject of nonstop media attention amid an ongoing court case for a 2002 hit-and-run that killed a homeless man and injured four others. His popularity also hasn’t suffered from his 2006 conviction for poaching an endangered blackbuck deer, which he has appealed.
Downey remains the Iron Man among the highly compensated thanks to that franchise: Avengers: Age of Ultron earned $240 million gross in China alone. But America, long accustomed to bestriding the world as the Colossus of the movies, has to make room on the list for other nationalities and languages.
“From Hollywood to Hong Kong and Bollywood, the ranking examines international stars’ earnings for the first truly global dollar tally of film’s flushest stars,” Forbes writer Natalie Robehmed says in the article.
“Though we have long looked at foreign actors starring in the U.S. films — Irishman Liam Neeson, Brit Daniel Craig and Australian Hugh Jackman have all made the Highest-Paid Actors list previously — we have never examined those working solely in international movie industries.”
Altogether, the five Bollywood stars — Shah Rukh Khan, in 18th place, and Ranbir Kapoor, at No. 30 — made Indians the second-highest paid as a group, with combined earnings of $140.5 million.
Film industry analysts said they were unsurprised that Indian actors rank among the world’s highest-paid. While their films may not be big money earners, they have global recognition thanks to a large Indian diaspora living from Australia to Canada and the United States.
Indian actors also often negotiate a cut of a movie’s total revenues, guaranteeing themselves extra income even when films flop, whereas their Western counterparts usually only secure a share of profits.
The full list includes 33 thespians from seven countries, who together earned a combined $877 million before taxes and fees between June 1, 2014, and June 1, 2015, Forbes said.
