Four Vikings to be charged party case

A prosecutor has charged four Minnesota
Vikings players with three misdemeanors apiece in connection with a bawdy boat party earlier this season on Lake Minnetonka.

Daunte Culpepper, Bryant McKinnie, Fred Smoot and Moe Williams are charged with indecent conduct, disorderly conduct and lewd or
lascivious conduct, according to court papers.

The Hennepin County Sheriff's office has scheduled a news conference for 1:30 p.m. Thursday to formall announce charges in the Vikings cruise boat case.

KARE11.com plans to broadcast the news conference live on the Internet.

Crew members alleged sexual misconduct by several Vikings players on a chartered boat party during the team's bye week in October.

U.S. Attorney Tom Heffelfinger said Wednesday that no federal charges will be brought against any players. Boat crew members alleged that women were paid to come to Minnesota from other states for the party.
