For those of you who have seen my posts in past years, you know I am D Wade's biggest fan (still think Marquette should have won it all). So this may be a wishful pick tonight but here it goes:
Without Wade on Saturday, the Heat had 16 turnovers at Detroit and the Jones boys shot 4 of 16.
I think that Wade comes out and gives 110% tonight. With him on the floor around 70% healthy, I think the Pistons must still focus on him. Everyone knows that the Pistons will be looking to bang him, including the Heat. I think Van Gundy puts him in spots he can flourish and relies on the other Heat members to "pick him up", which is much easier at home. Damon Jones will knock down a 3 and his confidence will skyrocket. Eddie Jones is a veteran who knows what this is all about so he will play like a vet tonight.
This will be a dog fight but I can't get it out of my mind the comment Shaq made after the playoff game he sat out. He said, "Thanks Flash for picking me up. I OWE YOU ONE!" This is his game tonight. Shaq will dominate not only for Wade, but for Kobe and all of the other doubters that are now saying Shaq is over the hill. He can still dominate a game and he will do so tonight.
