    DALLAS -9 over Minnesota

The Dallas Mavericks try to extend their winning streak to five games tonight when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves, who complete a five-game road trip at American Airlines Center. The Mavericks have won four straight games on the heels of their third losing streak of the season. They extended their home winning streak to three games with a 101-77 victory over the Utah Jazz on Saturday. Dallas has now won 10 of its last 12 games and is four games ahead of Sacramento for the best record in the Western Conference. Meanwhile, Minnesota snapped a three-game losing streak with a 105-98 victory over the Phoenix Suns last night.

Minnesota and Dallas have split two meetings this season, with each winning on its home floor. While those games were close, we are looking for a much more decisive win here by the Mavs. At home off 4 or more SU wins, they are 10-2-1 ATS, while the T-Wolves are 0-4 ATS vs. such hot opponents.

Minnesota will be in off tired legs after outlasting the Suns last night. They continue to be short-handed without Joe Smith and key backup Rod Strickland. This is forcing others to play heavier minutes, leaving the team with very little depth, and lacking energy when playing without much rest. The TimberWolves are 1-12 ATS on the road off a road win, including 0-8 as an underdog. With Dallas looking to avenge a recent loss in Minnesota and show what they can do against a Western Conference playoff we expect them to put forth a superior effort and win this one by at least a dozen points.

PROJECTED FINAL SCORE: DALLAS 107 MINNESOTA 95
