ZEN...the hoop way
This March Maddness has tossed more curveballs at sportsbetters that I'm thinking we are already into baseball season. Like an atheist that wants to buy insurance for acts of God, the unpredictability of this time of year is what makes this sport so great. Thank's for Rip's fades on this forum, keeping us sharp players above the mendoza line. Which makes me wonder... if we all are supposed to learn from our mistakes, why ain't I a genius? I think the answer is there are really no mistakes in life...only lessons. You do the live and learn thing. The lesson is what you read in the fine print, the experience is what you get when you don't. So then after a really bad day of sportsbetting I try and put it out of my mind and start over the next day. Which makes me wonder...if today is the first day of your life, what was yesterday?
Somebody once said "you got to learn to make lemonade out of lemons." I don't get it. Why is lemonade made with artificial flavoring, and dishwasher soap made with real lemons? Something is messed up here. Someone yesterday asked me for my opinion about a game. When I didn't respond right away they screamed..."What do you think?" I told them that I think all the meat around a pigs ass is pork. Why is it that we have to respond to things right away with some people? Patience is how you act while your waiting........................................... .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. ................right?
Whoever said it doesn't matter if you win or lose has never lost. I'd like someday to meet that person. But I doubt I ever will. Kinda like the time I almost had a psychic girlfriend, but she left me before we ever met. So my issues in life continue. Remember when issues use to just be about magazines?
So as you make you sport bets remember that greed is a lasting slavery. Goals are dreams with deadlines....and never forget the golden rule....those who have the gold....rule. What's in your wallet?
