NFL YTD: 19-15
Several days ago I posted my play on tonight's game at:
2* Packers -5 1/2 (-120)
I reasoned at the time that I was convinced the line would rocket upward as it became apparent Ahamn Green would play for Green Bay. I wish I was as good at picking games as I am at predicting line movement but the case for Green Bay remains strong even at the present number. St. Louis is a very overrated football team. Face it: they're 5-5 in the worst division in the worst conference in the league. People are overreacting to their win over Seattle two weeks ago....a win that doesn't seem so impressive in retrospect. (Buffalo beat Seattle by 29, Buffalo beat St. Louis by 20, St. Louis beat Seattle by 11, it all adds up, doesn't it?) St. Louis is bad on the road, especially bad on grass and horrible in cold weather. Green Bay is on fire, winning five in a row and is the second best NFC team right now (and that's not saying a lot). The Packers showed a lot in winning a letdown game last week against Houston. Favre is making his 200th consecutive start tonight and will be jacked up, especially since Green Bay was humiliated earlier this year on Monday night. Green Bay by at least 14!
