Red Sox at Cardinals
What a game to handicap, but here goes my theory! I'm playing devil's advacate (did I spell that right?) on this one!
The Cardinals come into this game with their backs against the wall, but the good thing about tonights game is, their at home. They are currently on a 7 game home winning streak outscoring their opponents 52 to 27 in those 7 games.
Pedro Martinez has not fared that great his last 7 starts; he's pitched 42.1 innings, allowing 47 hits, 31 runs, 30 earned runs, 8 HR's, 22 BB's, and struckout 43 batters in those starts. The Red Sox are 2-5 in his last 7 starts and have lost each game by 2 or more runs. I look for the Cardinals to bring a little extra incentive into tonights game and pull one out and keep their World Series chances alive! My Prediction Cardinals 8 Red Sox 5
