  • Detroit/Chicago

Man, everyone and their cousin is on Detroit today. Only person I've noticed on the Bears is Lewis. Just not trusting the "experts" on saying the Bears are that bad. Their offensive line is vastly improved, and could be one of the best in the league with 3 Pro-Bowl caliber players (Tait, Kruetz, Brown). Their defense was middle of the pack in just about every category last year, but with young rising starts like Charles Tillman, they should be even better. Their biggest problem was getting pressure on the QB, so they traded for the AFC's sack leader Ogunleye. They will have some problems on offense this year, but I think Grossman will end up being a very good QB, and Thomas Jones could thrive in Lovie's offense. Still, their defense is going to need to win many games, and Detroit has too many young guys for me to be comfortable with them. Kevin Jones and Artrose Pinner will split carries, which doesn't put fear into many. Harrington hasn't proven he can be a commodity, Charles Rogers is a stud, but Roy Williams will have some issues as rookie WRs consistently struggle. I see the Bears winning this one 16-10. With so many quality cappers on Detroit, I'm staying away from the side, but love the UNDER.
