Today I am releasing the results of a two week long poll on "The Masters" home and allowing women in. But the results leave even more questions! Mainly over where the word "Wimp" starts!
We asked: "Should women be able to join Augusta C.C.?" There is an escalating argument over this nationwide.
And we gave a couple of options besides "No," like : "Only for social purposes, but not be allowed on the golf course" and of course "Yes, for both golf and social purposes."
Of about 400 views, which showed the poll was of the same intense interest on the site as it is nationwide, only a meager 24 site members voted! 79.77 "PERCENT" against allowing women to join the all male membership.
24 measly votes.
That tells me "paranoid" is the word.
Either the men who voted thought their girlfriends or wives would find out how they voted, a technical impossibility, or that the other men on the site would find out, yet another implausible scenerio. (Maybe there is a way for the site to know, but they would never publish who voted which way).
So, gentlemen, you tell me. I voted and if you are a golfer, you certainly have a frame of reference.
If you ever got "trapped" behind a foursome of women who didn't know where the "social small talk" should stop and the "golf" begin, you remember all the times there was more extemperaneous chit-chat than golf strokes.
You think back of being behind a foursome of SLOW women who gave "FAST" lip service to each other and no attention to the players behind them, waiting and waiting and waiting to tee off and getting more "teed off!"
In other words "golfers" who used the course as a "Tupper Ware Party!"
