  • My take on MNF: Steelers @ Niners

I'll start by admitting that this game confuses the heck out of me.
SF's 1-11 Against The Spread their last 12 when favored.
SF's 2-13-1 Against The Spread as November favorites.
SF's 12-3-1 Against The Spread on Monday Night Football.
Teams like SF--home on Monday Night, off a win and a cover and a with rest are very solid propositions.
Pittsburgh is 17-7-1 Against The Spread on Monday Night.
Pittsburgh is 11-3-1 Against The Spread in the first of 2 straight away games.
Pittsburgh is 13-5-1 Against The Spread their last 19 as road dogs.
I think both of these teams are fake contenders.
Each is in the midst of a very disappointing year in which they were supposed to be real contenders.
QB Tim Rattay Expected to start.
    Pitt has similar questions:
    OG Oliver Ross Ankle Questionable
    RB Jerome Bettis Shoulder Questionable
    OT Marvel Smith Neck Doubtful
    TE Jay Riemersma Knee Probable
    Terrell Owens is questionable.
    That's too much "iffy-ness"
A major rule of mine is just because it's a Monday Night Football game doesn't mean you have to play it.
    EL PASO!
Working...
