Assume you only bet teams that will win A-T-L 58% of the time or better.
If you bet $100 per bet, your average win will be $40 per bet on a three team parlay (at 100/600 payout odds) . You only win one of five bets but the payout is big, and your average return is $40 per bet.
If you bet $100 per bet, your average win will be $20 per bet on a two team parlay (at 100/260 payout odds). You only win one of three bets but the payout is still good, and your average return is $20 per bet.
Betting straight bets, your average payout is only $12.
Now this gets even better for parlays if your teams have a 59% or better chance A-T-L win.
However, it gets worse for parlays if your teams have only a 53% chance of A-T-L winning. Here the side bet is best, and you win slightly rather than lose.
Botom line: Bet parlays if you have enough 58% or better bets.
My earlier parlay for Sunday is Tampa Bay -3 parlayed with Dallas -4.
