Baltimore Ravens at New England Patriots (-6.5, 46)
New England kept pace with Oakland Raiders for the AFC’s top record, breezing past Los Angeles Rams 26-10 as a hefty 13-point home favorite Sunday. The Patriots improved to 10-2 SU and are tied with Dallas Cowboys for the best ATS mark at 9-3.
The Baltimore Ravens has won four of its last five SU and ATS (Against The Spread) to bounce back from a four-game SU and ATS slide. On Sunday, the Baltimore Ravens (7-5 SU, 6-6 ATS) crushed the red-hot Miami Dolphins whom had won six straight games loosing 38-6 giving +3.5 points at home.
“The Patriots just keep winning and keep covering for their backers,” Childs said. “We have them power-rated roughly 4 points better than the Ravens, but throw in home field and the fact that we lose money on the Patriots every week, as bettors can’t get enough of them, no matter how high their spreads are.
“So in a game where they should be a 7-point favorite, we opened them -8, However, the line has dropped down to -6.5 so money has came in on the Ravens. For the first time all season, we’re seeing more action against the Patriots, and we’ve lowered our number to Pats -7.5.”
