Turner, who entered hospice two days ago, leaves behind his wife, Allison, and three children: Nolan, 18, Natalie, 15 and Cole, 12.

"Thank everyone so very much over this journey we have had for all your support, prayers. He was ready to go to Heaven, excited he said. Love y'all, and thanks God Bless."
Turner was drafted by the Patriots in the third round of the 1992 draft. The Eagles signed Turner to a three-year, $4.1 million deal with a $1.5 million signing bonus when he hit free agency in 1995, which at the time represented the second-highest salary for a fullback in the league.
