Already short on playmakers Sunday, the Broncos were dealt a tough blow when they lost WR Eddie Royal to an injury during the second quarter against the Bengals.
Royal injured his right groin while running a pass pattern and had to be helped off the field by trainers. The team announced he is questionable to return.
With star WR Brandon Lloyd ruled out of the game with a groin injury, the Broncos had only three wide receivers on the active roster, and are now left with Eric Decker and Matthew Willis. So, naturally, on the play after Royal’s injury they turned to Tim Tebow, who came in for one play at receiver. The Broncos will be limited in their personnel groupings for the rest of the game, so we could be in for more Tebow Time. Just not at quarterback.
