This kid should make the underrated Nats (IMO) a true contender in the NL east.
The 21 year old (6-4 220lbs.) right hander picked number 1 overall in the draft out of San Diego St. is sure to make thimgs tough for my Phils. He's got a 95-100 MPH fastball with a deadly curveball to match. He was awesome in his starts with AA Harrisburg and AAA Syracuse, where in his 2 starts threw for 12 innings giving up 1 hit, 2 walks, and 13 K's. ERA 0.0.
In his 5 starts with Harrisburg he went 3-1. Earned runs of 4, 6 BB's and 27 K's. ERA 1.64 with a WHIP of 0.86. Was due to pitch lastnite but game was rained out. Should pitch today as part of a double header for Syracuse.
Any fantasy owners looking for a pitcher he's been rumured to make his MLB debut on June 4th. This is of course to take a season of arbritation. He was singed for 4 yrs @ 15 mill.
