July 17, 2009 Antoine Walker Arrested: After making headlines earlier this week for being the latest celebrity in trouble with casinos for unpaid gambling debts (amounting to $882,500), the ex-NBA star mystifyingly walked into Harrah’s Casino in South Lake Tahoe yesterday morning, where he was promptly arrested. Perhaps Walker hadn’t caught the televised news story that the casino employee who reported him to deputies of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, who happened to be conducting a foot patrol through the casino, had seen, stating that a felony arrest warrant had been issued for his passing of bad checks while taking out markers at Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood, and Red Rock Resort. Walker’s currently being held in the Douglas County Jail in Stateline, Nevada, awaiting extradition back to Las Vegas. His bail has been set at $87,000.
